as the home to a graphic designer seeking ways to unplug, the idea for this apartment in Washington DC was to bring the outdoors in. the execution of a large-scale grid of botanical artwork in the perfect mossy green set off the palette and tone of the space - meditative, serious, but also somehow light. while limited to the perameters of the apartment’s rental agreement (!), we had a good neutral base and lovely georgetown bones (and fireplace) to work with. space planning, window treatments, art placement, and selection of new & antique objects saw this space become a nice place to escape to.
